World Grand Prix rolls into Macao for three days of action

 

China will host Brazil, Serbia and Belgium in Macao

 Lausanne, Switzerland, June 14, 2016 – The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix has rolled into Macao with the Chinese hosting Brazil, Serbia and Belgium for three days of matches from June 17 to 19.

The Macao stop of the World Grand Prix is being organised by the Sport Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Volleyball Association of Macao with the support of the Galaxy Entertainment Group.

China carried out their first training session in Macao on Tuesday and a number of players, including Zeng Chunlei, Gong Xiangyu, Ding Xia、Lin Li, Liu Yanhan and Chen Zhan, participated in a friendly match with local teenage volleyball players and Special Olympics athletes.

In addition to participating in the practice game, the players also offered technical advice and shared some of their experiences with the youngsters.

Members of the China team will visit the famous Ruins of St. Paul’s, the most famous landmark in Macao, and take part in a promotional event at St. Dominic’s Square on Wednesday.

Sponsor Galaxy Entertainment Group will hold a lucky draw for spectators at the venue, with prizes that include motorcycles, hotel accommodation and food and beverage vouchers.
