The USA is high quality: Germany coach Koslowski

USA captain said their opponent's performance was impressive.

Hong Kong, China, June 24, 2016 – United State beat Germany in straight sets (25- 19, 25-22, 30-28) in their World Grand Prix match at Hong Kong Stadium on Friday.

Christa Harmotto Dietzen, USA, captain"Germany is a very young team. They did make improvements over the past three weeks. They pushed us to learn. Their performance was impressive."

Karch Kiraly, USA, coach: "I like how hard they fight and their strong fighting spirit. I thought we’re sure to win but we had a difficult time slowing down Louisa Lippmann (who scored a game-high 19 points). The service of Germany improved towards the end of the game. It’s a good test and training for our coming two matches."

Felix Koslowski, Germany, coach: "USA is a good team. In the first set we were not aggressive enough. The second worked better. In the last we improved and managed to take the rhythm and momentum, but our opponent is high quality, in the end we lost but we learned."

Denise Hanke, Germany, captain: "The match is always not so easy when it's against the USA. Our performance was not so good at first but overall it was a good game. We would like to learn from the USA."
