Wilavan Apinyapong looks to beat the USA block of Karsta Lowe and Rachel Adams

Ningbo, China, June 11, 2016 - United States have won their 12th successive match across their past four major championships, this time beating Thailand 3-0 (25-21, 29-27, 25-23), with Karsta Lowe scoring a game-high 16 points in Ningbo on Saturday.

The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2015 Most Valuable Player was on song with 15 spikes and one block while Jordan Larson-Burbach registered 13 points, Christa Harmotto Dietzen 12 including an impressive six blocks and Rachael Adams 11.

For Thailand, Pleumjit Thinkaow and Wilavan Apinyapong reached double figures with 13 and 11 points respectively.

The win marks the first time USA have won four successive World Grand Prix matches in straight sets since 2012.

Lowe started prolifically but Thailand matched USA through the early stages of the first set, before Lowe helped the 2015 champions pull away to take the set 25-21.

The second set was a real battle, with Thailand erasing a 4-0 deficit with Pimpichiya Kokram enjoying a purple patch. Eventually though Lowe and USA prevailed to take it 29-27 after more than half an hour on court.

Thailand's defence was stronger still in the third set and captain Pleumjit Thinkaow chimed in as she scored a team-high 13 points for the match. But a monster kill from Jordan Larson-Burbach, one of 13 points she scored for the game, wrapped up the set 25-23 and the contest 3-0.
