Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, June 12, 2016 - José Roberto Guimarães was satisfied with his team's overall performance on the first weekend of the World Grand Prix Group 1. The Brazil coach emphasized the importance of playing in front of the home crowd in the city, where Olympic Games will be played in two months time.

Brazil coach José Roberto Guimarães: "This week here in Rio de Janeiro was really important for our team. We were able to live the Olympic spirit. It was good to play in front of our fans and it is part of our practice for the Olympics. I liked the way our team played this week." 

Serbia coach Aleksan Vladisavljec: "Today we played our best performance of this weekend. Some of the players that were injured played today and it is very important to us to see them in action. Five days from now we will meet Brazil again and we want to do a better job than we did today."

Brazil wing spiker Natália Pereira: "It is always good to play in Brazil. It was a good first week of World Grand Prix for our team. We know that we will have more four difficult weeks, but I am happy with our performance until now. We still having things to improve but we are in the right way." 

Serbia opposite Jovana Brakocevic: Brazil is such a great team that always make any game harder. I am happy that we played in a higher level than the two previous games. Nevertheless, we will need to improve all skills to play better next time we meet them."
