Bangkok, Thailand - July 7, 2016 – Brazil stormed past Russia 3-0 (25-22, 25-10, 25-21) to earn the first semifinals spot in the 2016 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Final at Indoor Huamark Stadium on Thursday.

Brazil coach Jose Roberto Lages Guimaraes: "We really played a good match. Now we are first in the pool. We are waiting for the matches tomorrow to find out which team we will meet in the semifinals. It can be Netherlands, China or USA."

Brazil captain Fabiana Claudino: "We had good preparation for this match. We used a lot of power against Russia, as we have similar tactics and size.”

Russia coach Yury Marichev: "We didn't play according to our game plan today. We will go back to the drawing board for our next match against Thailand. I think it's going to be tough to play against them in front of their home fans.”

Russia captain Ekaterina Kosianenko: "We are very disappointed with our performance today. We didn't play well as we expected. Brazil played very well while we committed so many mistakes. We will try to play better against Thailand."
