Guidetti: Final Six will be hard

Both coaches were in drastically different moods after the match

Hong Kong, China, June 26, 2016 – The Netherlands stun Germany in a drama-filled three-setter (26-24, 25-20, 25-22) in Hong Kong on Sunday.

Denise Hanke, Germany, Captain: Congratulations to the Netherlands. It was really a good game. Throughout the tournament, we faced numbers of strong opponents. I think we have improved and become not easy to be beaten.

Felix Koslowski, Germany, Coach: I would like to congratulate the Dutch team, especially to Giovanni whom I have once worked with. Today was a good experience. Our team had good fighting spirit and tried to fight back when we were behind. I would like to pay tribute to our Libero Sophie Dreblow who is only 17 years old. This was her national debut today and she performed well.

Maret Balkestein-Grothues, Netherlands, Captain: It was an interesting match today. Germany is a young and strong team and they played decently. We have good spectators today. Our goal is to be qualified for the Final and we succeeded. It wasn’t easy and I am happy for the result.

Giovanni Guidetti, Netherlands, Coach: I do give my respect to the German team. They played well today. Congratulations to my team to get into the Final. It would be hard physically and technically to compete against the best teams in the world in the Final, and I hope our team would keep improving.
