Brazil see off Turkey in straight-set victory

 

Brazil beat hosts Turkey 3-0 on Saturday

Ankara, Turkey, June 26, 2016 - Brazil left was not intimidated by the home crowd as they quickly beat Turkey 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-19) in Ankara on Saturday.

The victory allowed Brazil to win Pool G of the FIVB World Grand Prix. 





The match started off even; both teams were good in the attack and not yet focused in defence. Brazil was led 8-7 at the first technical time–out. Afterward Brazil pushed harder while Turkey made simple mistakes in the attack and Brazil won the first set 25 to 14. 




In the second set, Turkey improved their game both in attack and defence. Still Brazil managed to dominate the proceedings with booming serves and eventually grabbed the second, 25-21. 

 In the final set, it was Natalia Pereira who led Brazil to a win. Turkey improved their defensive play and took a three-point lead at the second technical time-out. That is when Brazil stepped up in attack to take the set by 25 points to 19.
