They didn't let us play well - Australia captain Sloane

Australian captain Shae Sloane has confidence in her team, despite a thumping loss

Cali, Colombia, June, 10, 2016 - Kazakhstan proved too strong for Australia in Group 3 of the FIVB World Grand Prix 2016, beating them 3-0 (25-14, 25-6, 25-20) in Cali on Friday.

Radmila Beresneva, Kazakhstan, captain - "The third set was the harder one for us, we made more mistakes than in the first two and it was reflected on the scoreboard. I can't say it was an easy match, we wanted to win and luckily we got the victory. We will try to do it again tomorrow, but it was important to start like this and I'm happy we win like we did."

Shae Sloane, Australia, captain - "We're a bit disappointed. We came ready for a big match, but we didn't came up in the way we wanted to. We can play better than we did today, but they didn't let us do it. Kazakhstan played a really good game, but I'm happy because we showed in the third set only the beginning of what we can do. If we start the next match in that way and we have confidence in ourselves to maintain that level, things are going to get better."
