Almaty, Kazakhstan, June 15, 2016 - Colombia beat Kazakhstan last week at home in Cali, but in their Group 3 semifinal clash in FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2016, it will be the Asian side that will be playing at home.
Head-to-Head
• Colombia beat Kazakhstan 3-1 on 12 June, securing their place for the Final Four tournament.
• The two team will now again go head-to-head in that Final Four round.
• In their meeting on 12 June, Colombia won 25-21, 22-25, 25-19, 25-12. Madelaynne Montaño became top scorer with 17 points, while Moreno Pino Kenny (16 points), Amanda Coneo (13) and Melissa Rangel (11) also broke the 10-points mark.
• For Kazakhstan, Katerina Tatko (10) was the only player to scorer 10+ points.
• Colombia also won their only other World Grand Prix encounter with Kazakhstan in 2015 in straight sets.
• Kazakhstan have now lost all eight encounters against CSV sides at the World Grand Prix.

• Kazakhstan's loss against forthcoming opponents Colombia ended their record four-match winning streak in the World Grand Prix.
• It was their first loss since the 3-1 defeat to Peru in their opening match of the 2016 season.
• None of Kazakhstan's last nine matches has gone to a fifth set. Their last five-setter was the 3-2 win over Cuba on 28 June 2015.

• They previously won four in a row in 2015, beating Kenya, Peru, Kazakhstan and Cuba.
