Juan Carlos Nunez, Puerto Rico coach: In today’s match there were moments we were behind Poles but then our substitutions were working well, they gave us energy on the court and brought points. We have a very good chemistry in the team. This group of players is working very hard. Lately they got used to winning, and they don’t give up, they fight even in difficult moments and try to take advantage of all opportunities. I feel that this team is in its best moment - we’re looking forward for next matches of World Grand Prix and our aim is to qualify for the Finals.

Jacek Nawrocki, Poland coach: All the things that I mentioned earlier – the heart and the will to fight - in those aspects my team showed their best. We were playing well offensively and that is what we are looking for. Today our spikes from the wings looked really good, and middle blockers need to function better. With this we can be a stronger team, but I think that we need to work on it. Conclusion after the weekend is that we need this type of matches. Many of my players don't have opportunity to play at such a high level during the club season, and because of that they can have lack of experience in putting that fight on the court. We need to play as many matches of this type as possible, because it builds the team. I saw today that my players are motivated by themselves so I didn't need to do anything extra to motivate them. That's a good sign when they know what they are playing for.

Lynda Morales, Puerto Rico: Our expectations are high, we’d like to win each game in this series. We want to move up to division one. World Grand Prix is our tournament preparation for the Olympics. So that we - players and staff are working very hard to achieve these goals. We didn’t do very well at the beginning of today’s match. As the game continued to progress we noticed that the Polish opposite was hitting in certain directions and we adjusted our game to what Poland was doing. Moreover our offense started to get into the rhythm - I also helped with that. Once we adjusted, we played much better.

Kamila Ganszczyk, Poland: I'm a little disappointed, because we can control our game, but when it comes to the most important moments of the game we lose. I'm personally disappointed that I didn't help the team more, because I know that I can play better. I hope for a sport revenge next week in Włocławek. We put an equal fight against a team of Olympians. We look forward for going to the Olympic Games in 4 years and I hope that we will succeed, because game by game we play better. We will be training in Włoclawek starting from Tuesday, which is good, because we will be playing there a little longer than the other teams. Every training day is good for us, because we are a new team and we can do things better every day.
