Kaliningrad, Russia, June 11, 2016 - The Netherlands defeated Turkey in straight sets, but despite the victory coach Giovanni Guidetti wasn't satisfied with his team's continuous mistakes in every set.
Netherlands coach Giovanni Guidetti: "The game was difficult for us, but it is always difficult when you give your opponent 10 points per set by your own mistakes. We gave our rivals too easy life. We were better in any element but due to those unforced mistakes the Turkish team always stayed close. Otherwise the match would be much shorter. We have to improve a lot and I hope that next match we will be able to step forward."
Turkey coach Ferhat Akbas: "Yesterday we played really well in some moments, but today we always made mistakes. That's why we lost the match, because until 20th point in the set we were very close to win, but after we made easy mistakes and we lost the game."
Netherlands top scorer Lonneke Sloetjes: "I think we did a pretty good job for every set, but we had a hard time in every aspect of the game. We made too many mistakes. We did not really do what we wanted to do, but anyway 3-0 is a very good score."
Turkey player Fatma Yildirim: "Netherlands is very experienced team and we are very a young team. I hope that next time we will play better. We do not give up."
