The side are undergoing some intensive training and despite the switch from Beijing to Beilun, they are fully focused on this crucial season.

In order to prepare for the World Grand Prix, China retained their main roster, sending a second string team to the Montreux Volley Masters 2016. However, their strength of depth was made all the more evident as they claimed a sixth title and first in six years.

China will first take on the side they beat in the Montreux Volley Masters final, Thailand, before meeting Germany and USA from June 10 to 12.
The world No.2 will then switch to Macao to play against Belgium, Serbia and Brazil from June 17 to 19. And in the final stage of preliminary round they'll take on the Netherlands, Germany and USA again in Hong Kong from June 24to 26.

The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix is the final preparation for China before the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
“I hope my team can accumulate more experience and get more familiar with our opponents through the Grand Prix," coach 'Jenny' Lang Ping said. "Meanwhile, I expect to test our skills and tactics from training to real matches so as to better prepare for the Rio Olympic Games."

China, together with Japan are the only two teams that have taken part in all 23 previous editions of FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix.
