FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix record against China and are psyched to follow up on a great win against Brazil on Friday. Whether this will be enough in their Saturday game with the Asian giant is yet to become clear.
Head-to-Head
• Serbia have won three of the five matches against China at the World Grand Prix, including the last time they met, in 2014.
• China's two wins came in 2013, 3-2, and 3-1.
• None of the five matches ended in a straight-sets win.
• In all major competitions, China have won five of the last six matches against Serbia, including a 3-1 win in their last encounter at the 2015 World Cup.
China
• China have started their 2016 World Grand Prix campaign with four wins. Last year, they kicked off with nine victories in a row, before losing 3-1 against Brazil in the final round.
• China have now won their last 12 preliminary round matches at the World Grand Brix, since a 3-1 defeat against Japan in August 2014.
• China have won three of their four matches at the 2016 World Grand Prix in straight sets. In this run, only United States avoided a 3-0 defeat (3-1) against China.
• Zhang Changning scored a match-high 16 points against Belgium on Friday, including 14 spikes.
Serbia
• On Friday, Serbia claimed their first win of their 2016 World Grand Prix campaign, beating hosts Brazil 3-2 in Macau.
• For the first time in World Grand Prix history, Serbia came from two sets down to record a five-set victory.
• It was Serbia's first 3-2 win in the competition since 16 August 2014, when they claimed a five-set win over China.
• Serbia outscored Brazil 113-110. Tijana Bošković scored a match-high 30 points.
